Finally got around to completing a few projects, along with learning what to (and more importantly, what NOT to do) when it comes to the printing process. Anyone who's ever printed on the wrong side of their paper has seen that the result looks like something you'd imagine Dali did in his spare time. From here on out, it's glossy paper for me.

The next projects to be worked on are the text assignment, where we take a picture, then add an appropriate "Hallmark-y" quote to it. Still working on the backlighting assignment. Then of course, the Fall Colors assignment, which is in the bag. Have to do yet another bit where we stand up and give an oral presentation in class. What is it with oral presentations? I know I'm not the only one who hates having to get up and speak in front of others. Is it because I'm an antisocial sociopath? Or due to the fact no one wants to be in a situation where they're forced to speak to others about something you know their audience doesn't give two shits about? I signed up for this to take pictures, and learn how to do it better. I'd rather let the picture do the talking for me.

But enough of my venting about petty things. My friend came through again. Photoshop 7 is now in my arsenal. Though it is a tad confusing. We use CS4 in class, so it's a bit like going to class, and learning all these cool things you can do in a Porsche, then you come home and have to make do with an '84 hatchback. At least it gets the job done.
